Installation of the solar system and starting tiling

Construction

Being finished with the underfloor heating system, the installation continues on the roof and in the underground parking. The solar panels have been connected to the verticals and the water cylinders have been installed and filled under pressure. We also received the geothermal heat pump that will be installed soon. Work on tiles also started in parallel.

Progressing the installation of the solar system

The 12 solar collectors on the roof of Amadeo have been connected to the collection system going to the water cylinders in the underground parking.

The 2 water cylinders are part of the complete Rehau SOLECT system for the production of sanitary hot water using solar energy. Each cylinder is 500 liters, connected to 6 solar panels.

Rehau water cylinders accept 3 connections for heating up water. The first connection, in the bottom part of the cylinders, is for the loop coming from the solar collectors. The second one, higher up, is for the loop coming from the geothermal heat pump. The last connection in the top part of the cylinders, accept an electric resistance.

The fluid circulating in the solar panels is glycol to prevent freezing in winter. The circulation is done using a small pump. There are 2 loops for each water cylinder connected to each group of 6 panels.

There are lot of pipes coming to and going from the 2 cylinders. Those for the 2 solar loops in the solar panels and those for the distribution of hot water in the apartments.

Tiling of the apartments

Work on tiles started as well. We have a team of 6 excellent tilers working in parallel. They are progressing fast. We chose large light tiles (45x45cm) that makes apartments luminous and easy to furnish. Combined with the underfloor heating and cooling system, tiles provide optimum confort. They are warm in winter and fresh in summer.

We use Ceresit CM16 as glue. It is flexible and perfect for underfloor heating.

Entrance stairs of the building have been made and the final layer of the facade (with the color) will be done next week.
